The Chris Willemse Cycles DURBIE DASH is just for cyclists ... No, it’s not! OK, while the event name largely implies a cyclist event, the day offers fun for everyone. The road- and mountain bike event portfolio is carefully planned to offer choice without sacrificing quality and to meet the expectations of cyclists regardless of their levels of experience. These events will therefore offer you sufficient challenge in its class and allow each participant to enjoy the sport of cycling while experiencing the natural beauty of our beloved Durbanville. Cycle event participants can expect top class water point service and technical support. No effort has been spared to change each water point into an experience in its own right with sufficiently manned stations offering sponsor branding and -participation, excellent support services, fluids and supplements, rowdy support groups and continuous commentary and event status reporting linked back to the main control room at the home base. As a non-cyclist you may enjoy a leisurely fun walk with family and friends (bring the baby and stroller along!) or should you be up for it, you could decided to take part in the fun run, also presented by Run Walk for Life Durbanville. At the event home base you will be spoilt by a host of culinary delicacies at the numerous stalls and cafés or you may quench your thirst at the onsite wine and beer facilities. A dog show will keep the young ones occupied while you spur on the school bands in The Durbie Bash, sponsored by Paul Bothner Music. To top it all, we are in the process of negotiating video footage to be captured of the main events to be screened on DSTV Supercycling. Yes, you simply cannot miss this!
